This pamphlet was originally published as newspaper articles in the Houston Press and were written by the founder of AA in Houston, Larry J. This pamphlet was printed in July 1941.

This was originally printed for the first time in April 1940 and was the first pamphlet that was printed by Alcoholics Anonymous. This piece includes all six articles written by Larry J. along with an article written by Dr. Silkworth.

The pamphlet is in poor condition as there is significant wear to the cover. The front and back covers have been torn at the spine and detached from the rest of the pamphlet. There is edge wear with small tears. The pamphlet is complete with no missing pages.
