This pamphlet is a true first printing from 1944. The Medicine Looks at Alcoholics Anonymous pamphlet was first printed in 1944 by THE ALCOHOLIC FOUNDATION. The later printings were done by WORKS PUBLISHING, Inc.

This pamphlet does not include the piece done by Dr. W. W. Bauer on the back page of the pamphlet from 1946 that was included on later printings. This pamphlet also does not have the asterisk and the 1949 notation at the bottom of page 3. The later printings updated the number of members and groups.

This pamphlet is a reprint of papers/talks presented to the American Psychiatric Association by Harry Tiebout, May 1943 and to The Medical Society of the State of New York by Bill W., May 1944.

This pamphlet is in excellent condition. There is some light edge wear and wear to the spine. There are several small stains on the cover and moderate page toning. This pamphlet is fully intact with no torn or missing pages.
