The Runner’s Bible by Nora Holm
The Runner’s Bible
Compiled and Annotated for The Reading of Him Who Runs
by Nora Holm
This is a book that Dr. Bob would study as a daily devotional and would often give away copies to friends in the early days of AA. In the book “Dr. Bob’s Library” by Dick B., there is a story about Dr. Bob giving this book to a friend of his who was also his waitress at a restaurant he frequented. The waitress was having a difficult time at work and was ill one day that he was there. The next day he sent this book to her.
A daily spiritual respite for people on the run, "The Runner's Bible" was originally compiled in 1910 for the author's "on-the-run" 17-year-old daughter. Now more than ever, "The Runner's Bible" offers a peaceful, quiet moment in a hectic, stressful world, with more than 1,000 Bible passages and brief commentaries that shed life on every life issue.
