This is the 4th Printing of the First Edition Big Book from 1943! This book features the Green cover. This book has the original dust jacket!

The Fourth Printing of the First Edition Alcoholics Anonymous Big Book was published in March 1943 with 5,000 copies released. The Fourth Printing was printed with two different color covers: Green and Navy Blue. On page 27, the first page of "There is a Solution", there was a change to the second line of text that previously read "hundreds men who were once" to "thousands of men and women who were once". Page 391 in this book is titled "Now We Are Eight Thousand". The dust jacket states Fourth Printing on the spine and front flap.

This is a very rare book to find in this good of condition. One of the first 3,500 copies of the fourth printing, bound in green cloth--after which a remaining 1,500 copies were bound in blue cloth.

This book is in great condition for being 80 years old! There is a stamp of a previous owners name and address on the inside the front and back cover. There are no other markings and no writing inside this book! The cover and spine look great. The spine is firm and has no wear. The gold lettering on the spine looks great! The dust jacket has some edge wear and a small portion torn and missing from the top of the spine.
