One of Three Known Examples
Original Works Publishing Stock Certificate
This remarkable 1940 Works Publishing, Inc. stock certificate is one of the rarest surviving documents from the earliest history of Alcoholics Anonymous. Issued for five shares and made out directly to “The Alcoholic Foundation,” it connects directly to the publishing effort behind AA’s foundational text. Only two other original examples are known to remain in private or institutional collections.
