Alcoholics Anonymous First Edition 16th Printing from 1954 - ODJ

This is a First Edition Sixteenth Printing of the Big Book with an original dust jacket.

This was the last printing of the First Edition Big Book.

It was unexpected for this printing to be released due to plans for the 2nd Edition release at the July 1955 AA International Convention. Due to low supplies of printed books, AA needed to print more copies to fulfill demand.  There was a need for more books to be printed ahead of the scheduled release because the 15th printings were selling so fast! There were only 15,700 16th printings released in August 1954.

This book is in good condition. The cover show’s some wear around the edges with some portions of the blue cloth torn.  The book is fully intact with no missing pages. There is a bookplate sticker on the first page of the book. There is no other writing or markings in the book.

The original dust jacket has edge wear, tears, and stains. There are several pieces of tape placed on the jacket to prevent any more damage.
