This is the Rare Blue Cloth Covered First Edition 4th Printing Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous with Original Dust Jacket.
The Fourth Printing of the First Edition Alcoholics Anonymous Big Book was published in March 1943 with 5,000 copies released. The Fourth Printing was printed with two different color covers: Green and Navy Blue. On page 27, the first page of "There is a Solution", there was a change to the second line of text that previously read "hundreds men who were once" to "thousands of men and women who were once". Page 391 in this book is titled "Now We Are Eight Thousand"
Of the approximately 5000 4th printings, only 1500 were covered in this Blue Cloth. Even rarer is to find this book with an original dust jacket. This copy is in very good condition and very difficult to find! The dust jacket is in very good condition with minor age related chipping and a fine line tear along the fold on the front cover, not noticeable unless jacket is removed.
