An Interpretation of Alcoholics Anonymous Program of the Twelve Steps by Ed Webster

Coll-Webb Pub. 1947 (Third 1947 Printing)

Prior to being dubbed "The Little Red Book," Ed Webster's "An Interpretation of the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous" was published from a series of notes compiled and used at beginner classes in Minneapolis A.A.
There were three printings in 1947. This first of three can be identified by the date January 1947 on the copyright page and the shortest "Author's Note." This first 1947 printing has 10 lines in the note; the second printing also is dated January 1947 but has 17 lines in the Note, while the third printing is dated only by the Roman Numerals, has a gross mistake in the title and contains a full page "Author's Note."
This is the third 1947 printing with the title error "Program of the Twelve Steps." We also have the first 1947 printing listed on Ebay as well and can list the second 1947 printing upon request!
It is known that Dr. Bob was an advocate of this Little Red Book; it is believed that he had editorial and contributory input into the early releases. It is said that 1949 was the last year that Dr. Bob had input having passed away in 1950. This book is in very good condition with very little wear to the cover. Binding is in very good condition with no writing in the book. There is some age related stain on the cover page and some marks on page 15; the rest of the book is clean.
