This book has been signed by both AA cofounder’s Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob Smith. The signatures are both on the first title page of the book. Dr. Bob’s signature is slightly faded.

AA’s cofounders met in May of 1935 in Akron, Ohio. That meeting led to the founding of Alcoholics Anonymous on the date of Dr. Bobs last drink on June 10, 1935. The two founding members played a vital roll in the development and growth of the program, fellowship, organization of the Alcoholic Foundation, and service structure. The lasting impact of these two men on the lives of millions of people around the world is felt everyday with immense gratitude for their perseverance and dedication to spread the message of recovery in the Big Book and beyond!

This is a First Edition Twelfth Printing of the Big Book from October 1948. There were 42,350 copies of this printing released. The 12 printing featured a navy blue cover with gilt lettering on the spine.

The first page of the book has handwriting from the previous owner of the book with their name and address.

This book is in fair condition. The cover has experienced significant wear with stains, fading of the blue cover, and small portions torn. This book is complete with no torn or missing pages. There is underlining and stains on several pages in the book. The book comes with a reproduction dust jacket.
