Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous 2nd Edition 4th Printing with Original Dust Jacket
This is a second edition big book signed by Lois, Homer the Wino and others from 3/23/62. Lois is well known as Founder of Al-Anon and Bill W's wife, of course.
Homer the Wino was the subject of a June 1948 Grapevine story titled "Pampered Homer." Homer was a wino who others took pity on and fed him, pampered him, loaned him money and even provided him with booze. He was unable to get and stay sober until all of his enablers abondoned him and he had to stand on his own two feet.
Obviously by 1963 he was still a sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous as evidenced by his signature in this book!
This book is in very good condition. Other than the names signed in the book there is no other writing. This is a small piece of the page signed that is torn out but the rest of the book is solidly in one piece! No loose, torn or missing pages. The cober has some normal age related wear, the jacket is in very good condition with minor edge wear and a small tear on the bottom of the back cover.
