This is a Second Edition copy of Alcoholics Anonymous, the foundational text of the AA Fellowship. The Sixteenth Printing (1974) marks the final printing of the Second Edition, published just before the release of the Third Edition in 1976—making it a particularly desirable collectible.

The Second Edition (1955–1974) preserved the original text of the Big Book while expanding the personal stories to reflect AA’s rapid postwar growth from fewer than 100 members in 1939 to over 725,000 worldwide. It also added the Twelve Traditions and an enlarged appendix on the spiritual principles of recovery.
