This article discusses the current(1946) problems in America with alcoholism. Psychiatrist Robert V. Seliger discusses the problem and what he believes to be the solution for alcoholics including “He must learn the importance of eating; carry chocolate bars to nibble between meals, take heavy doses of vitamin B.” Dr. Seliger does not include Alcoholics Anonymous as part of his “Cure”.
This magazine is in good condition. There is some wear to the spine with it curling. The article is on pages 92, 95 and 96. The page 97-98 has been cut out and only a portion of the page remains in the magazine.(This portion removed is not part of the”Alcoholic Illness” article.)
