A.A. 30: A Book About A.A.’s 30th Anniversary Year and International Convention

Published to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Alcoholics Anonymous, this original convention volume preserves the history, growth, and international character of the Fellowship as it stood in 1965.

Created for the A.A. International Convention held in Toronto, the book includes messages from Bill and Lois Wilson, Canadian Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson, and Dr. John L. Norris, along with material covering A.A. in Canada, the worldwide expansion of the Fellowship, earlier International Conventions, and the story of A.A. through its first thirty years.

The opening endpapers feature a detailed map of worldwide A.A. membership as reported in 1965. An inscription from the original convention period appears on the front endpaper.

Also included is the original unused order form for additional copies of the anniversary book. The form is a separate, loose piece of paper and has not been pasted, mounted, or otherwise attached to the book. These original inserts are frequently missing and make this example especially desirable for collectors of A.A. convention history.
