How Offers Work
Recovery Collectibles welcomes serious offers on most items in the catalog. The offer process is personal, straightforward, and handled directly by the owner — there is no automated system, no algorithm, and no third-party negotiation platform. Every offer is read and considered individually.
Which Items Accept Offers
Most items in the catalog have the Make an Offer option available. A small number of items — typically those with a fixed asking price reflecting a firm valuation — do not. If the option is not visible on a product page, that item is priced at a fixed amount and is not currently open to offers.
How to Submit an Offer
Navigate to the product page for the item you are interested in. Click the Make an Offer button and complete the offer form with your proposed price and any relevant context. You will receive a confirmation that your offer has been received.
There is no obligation on either side at the time of submission. Submitting an offer does not place a hold on the item.
What Happens Next
All offers are reviewed personally by the owner, typically within 24 to 48 hours. You will receive a response by email — either an acceptance, a counter-offer, or a respectful decline. If an offer is accepted, you will receive a payment link to complete the purchase securely.
Because items are unique and one of a kind, an accepted offer is honored on a first-response basis. If two offers arrive simultaneously, the first to complete payment secures the item.
What Makes a Strong Offer
There is no formula, and lowball offers are not penalized — they simply receive a polite decline. That said, offers that reflect a genuine understanding of the item's rarity, condition, and historical significance tend to result in more productive conversations. If you are uncertain about the value of a particular item, feel free to reach out through the Contact page before submitting an offer.
A Note on Timing
Items are not held pending an offer. If an item sells at full price while an offer is under review, the offer will be declined and the buyer notified. For high-priority items, prompt follow-through after an accepted offer is appreciated.
