Here is an excerpt from the pamphlet:
“MATT TALBOT was born at 13 Ald-boro Court on the 2nd of May 1856 in Dublin, Ireland. His parents were Charles Talbot and Elizabeth Talbot nee Bagnal. They gave birth to twelve children, eight boys and four girls. All of the boys died at an early age except John, the eldest, and Matt. John died at the age of sixty. Three sisters survived Matt.
The parents of Matt Talbot were both known for their exceptional piety and neither partook of intoxicating liquors during their married life. The Rosary was recited every night in the Talbot home and in every way they were exemplary parents. Despite this fact all of their sons became alcoholics, Matt alone overcoming the addiction.”
