The Family Group of Alcoholics Anonymous
Tri-State Conference Denver Co.
May 18-20 1951
As early as 1939, families of alcoholics began to meet to solve their common problem- the alcoholic in their lives. Throughout the U.S., these groups without any central organizational structure, met as Family Groups and Auxiliary Groups of Alcoholics Anonymous. Al-Anon was to formerly begin in June of 1951.
This conference in May of 1951 was likely to be the last of Denver's Tri-State Family Group of Alcoholics Anonymous before becoming an official Al-Anon conference. This pamphlet contains the transcriptions of speakers' stories from this conference, and begins with a letter from Lois Wilson who was unable to attend. This 19 page pamphlet is packed with Al-Anon related stories and information. The pamphlet is in very good condition for being 80 years old.
