This Collier’s magazine issue from October 30, 1943 includes the article “Wet and Dry School” by Amy Porter.

This article is about the School of Alcohol Studies at Yale with Dr. E.M. Jellinek, who was the schools Director. The caption for the article says “Opposing camps get together at Yale to discuss the use and misuse of alcohol.”

Also included in the article is an image with five men and the caption “These five members of Alcoholics Anonymous, former drinkers who befriend and rehabilitate drunks, told fellow students they opposed a return to prohibition.

This magazine is in fair condition. There is edge wear and small tears to the cover. There has been a repair at the bottom of the front cover where there was a torn piece missing. There is a new strip of yellow paper pasted along the bottom of the front cover.
