Alcoholics Anonymous — Second Edition, Sixth Printing (1963) — Reproduction Jacket | Copy 2
Offered here is a Second Edition, Sixth Printing (1963) of Alcoholics Anonymous, published by Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc., New York. This copy is bound in blue cloth and is accompanied by a reproduction dust jacket.
Introduced in 1955, the Second Edition preserved the Big Book’s central explanation of the recovery program while substantially revising its personal-story section. The expanded range of experiences reflected a Fellowship that had grown far beyond the small membership represented in 1939. This 1963 printing belongs to the edition’s earlier publishing years, before the Third Edition appeared in 1976.
The copyright page states “Sixth Printing, 1963.” The title page retains the Second Edition’s 1955 date, which should be distinguished from the printing date of this volume.
