Sharing Recovery Through Gamblers Anonymous — First Edition, Third Printing (1997)
Offered here is a First Edition, Third Printing (1997) of Sharing Recovery Through Gamblers Anonymous, published by Gamblers Anonymous in Los Angeles. This blue paperback carries the Fellowship’s yellow G.A. emblem and includes a foreword by Robert L. Custer, M.D.
Gamblers Anonymous developed from meetings between two men in 1957, with its first group meeting held in Los Angeles on September 13 of that year. It applied principles of mutual help, personal change, and carrying the recovery message to compulsive gambling.
First copyrighted in 1984, Sharing Recovery brings together the Fellowship’s program, personal accounts, family concerns, and perspectives on treatment and research. An appendix addresses Jim W. and the founding of G.A.; the printed dedication also honors him. This copy represents the book’s continued circulation during the Fellowship’s fortieth-anniversary year.
